State of marketing in 2015

Mathew Sweezey has some good insights. Have a look!

Facebook Business Manager

Facebook have developed a solution for agencies that manage a number of Facebook pages for clients. It offers the opportunity to apply individual payment options for each client and a reporting system for each campaign. Sounds ideal, right? No. The system demanded a company website as a reference and insisted that entity be made an admin for all the pages managed. This proved to be a big problem for one non profit client whose Facebook page we admined. Their manager demanded the page be managed by an individual and they objected to the introduction of a company onto the list of admins for their page. We are keen to use any software that will improve productivity and we enjoy adapting to the fast pace of online marketing change. The need for clients to quickly evolve their thinking about social media and online marketing is obvious to social media managers but not necessarily to the clients. And into that knowledge gap many business relationships will fall never to be seen again.

The increasing power of Facebook

After many years promoting and managing online marketing campaigns primarily using Google AdWords, we have now switched to using Facebook Ad campaigns. The analytics are good and the cost of acquisition lower for our clients in some cases. There is still a strong case for using websites and AdWords although we now suggest using the blog format to facilitate comments. Marketing has moved towards developing a community that provides useful feedback on goods or services. Criticism can be useful and response time is faster using comments on FB and blogs. The platforms also provide valuable information about your likers and commenters that can be used to better tailor our clients goods and services. I conduct research on how creative types are using FB by accumulating friends to a personal profile. Have a look!

New clients

We have been busy with Facebook ad campaigns for a range of organisations. Sydney Boathouse Rozelle is building space for 400 small boats. We have started a FB ad campaign that has so far generated a waiting list sufficient to fill the first stage of this project. Note the number of likes! The need for causes and non profits to reach a wider audience than the traditional petition gathering lends itself to FB campaigns. We recently worked on such a campaign for a marine sanctuary at Long Reef on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Working in conjunction with a letterbox drop and email campaign, we have convinced the relevant NSW member of Parliament and Minister to consider our request. We continue the campaign with every confidence of success. Have a look here . The marketing of musicians, artists and film makers is particularly exciting. Modern technology provides the opportunity to create and market to the world. We have guided three authors through the process of publishing and lis

Facebook ad campaigns

We have been working on some Facebook ad campaigns for both non profit organisations and commercial operations. Marine Rescue Sydney on Facebook here. Marine Rescue Broken Bay here . Sydney Boathouse are building a world class marina at Rozelle and we are running a Facebook ad campaign for them. Visit them here and on their website here. I currently believe Facebook ad campaigns are more effective for online marketing. If your client already has a good website, it's also a good idea to run a Google AdWords campaign because the demographic has a slight overlap but is still different enough to warrant the time and expense.

Latest on the tear dropped shaped boat.

Fantastic and interesting following the building of this revolutionary design. The boat is nearing launch. Very exciting! Read the story here  and like us on Facebook.
